Renting a Storage Unit

At Malabar Mini Storage, we provide a range of storage unit sizes, from 5 x 10 units to spacious 10x30 units. Our team can assist you in selecting the perfect size to suit your needs, ensuring you get the right amount of space without overpaying or cramming items into a too-small unit.

Our storage unit rates vary depending on the size and location of the unit. You can check out the pricing on our Unit Prices (Hyperlink this to the page) page to see which unit would suit your needs.

Our facility features climate-controlled storage units, which maintain regulated temperature and humidity levels year-round. These units are ideal for storing temperature-sensitive items such as furniture, electronics, documents, artwork, and wooden items. Availability may vary depending on the size of unit you require.

Our storage units feature ceilings ranging from four feet in small closet spaces to between 10 and 14 feet in larger units. High ceilings allow for efficient use of space, enabling you to stack items vertically and maximize storage capacity.

While we recommend calling ahead, you are welcome to visit any of our facilities during office hours without an appointment. Our team will be delighted to provide you with information and give you a tour of the facility.

To rent a storage unit with us, you'll only need to present a current government-issued photo ID, proof of current address, and a contact phone number.

Unless you can provide evidence that you are the legal guardian or authorized agent for a business, only the individual named on the lease may sign the rental agreement.

We understand that storage needs can change over time. If you find that you require a different size unit, whether larger, smaller, or an additional unit, our managers are here to assist you. We're committed to ensuring you have the storage space that best meets your needs.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to perishable goods, flammable materials, explosives and other dangerous materials, and any item(s) that violates any county, state, or federal law(s). Please inquire with one of our Storage Experts about items that are restricted from being stored on our properties as outlined in our rental agreement.

Access and Amenities

Our operating hours are open from Mon - Sat : 8am - 6pm

No, when you rent a storage space from us, you provide the lock, and you are the only one with access to it. We do not have access to your unit. If you need a lock, they are available for purchase at the main office of your facility.

Unfortunately, we do not have a copy or master key for any of our storage units. In the event that you lose your key, you would need to contact a locksmith to have the lock removed. We can provide recommendations for local locksmiths if needed.

Yes, we're happy to accept deliveries on your behalf from carriers like FedEx, UPS, and others. Our staff will sign for your deliveries and keep them safe until you're able to pick them up. Simply speak with your facility manager to arrange for package acceptance.

Leases, Payment, and Insurance

At Malabar Mini Storage, we offer flexible leasing options with no long-term contracts or required deposits. Each lease agreement is month-to-month, providing you with the freedom to rent for as long as you need.

Absolutely! We encourage our customers to enroll in automatic monthly payments for convenience and to avoid the risk of missed payments and late fees. Once set up, your lease will automatically renew at the beginning of each month.

By default, we do not send out monthly invoices. However, if you prefer to receive a monthly billing statement, please let us know, and we'll be happy to accommodate your request.

While we do not provide insurance coverage for your stored belongings, we highly recommend obtaining insurance on your own. Many homeowner's or renter's insurance policies offer coverage for items stored off-site. We advise you to check with your insurance provider to determine if your policy includes coverage for stored items or if additional insurance is necessary.
